Greetings from across the pond!
We are SO excited to be here and to start our adventure. It is about 1:00am local time, but I am wide awake to write this post. The flight over was great but long, 7 hours and 45 minutes. On the plus side, we got a brunch of french toast or 3-cheese omelettes and a mini deep dish cheese pizza for dinner! It was great to start out the trip with a little taste of home. When we arrived we hopped in a taxi (or mom says a hackney cab) with a wonderful older British gentleman to take us to the hotel. He drove us past Harrod's and the back of Buckingham Palace, which we're planning on going back to tomorrow. I'm so glad we got to see Harrod's at night, it is HUGE and all lit up like it's Christmastime.
